I have a BMEd in Music Ed and a Masters in Piano. I have just retired from teaching after 29 years due to health issues. I suffered 3 strokes in March 2011 that left me with limited use of my left hand so I had to change my instrument of choice from piano to organ. I have always been a switch hitter between the two instruments, however my love was piano. But I am learning to LOVE organ as each week progresses. I play with another instrumentalist at our Southern Baptist Church where we are constantly challenging each other with our choices of music for each weeks services. Mind you we each put in our time on bench to perfect our parts before bringing them together to work out any kinks and we play no piece before it's time. That is our ministry to our church and our God. |
