Richard has played for services, weddings and given recitals for over 30 years. He has performed the Poulenc Organ Concerto for the BBC. He has played for services at St Albans Abbey, also St Mary Redcliffe church Bristol, and Selby Abbey. He gave a recital at Wymondham Abbey in May 2019. His first experience of organ music and improvisation was as a chorister at Lincoln cathedral. He played for services whilst studying at Bedford school and Goldsmiths College London where he obtained a BA Hons degree. He also played the organ whilst living in France, has played in the USA and Brazil.
